Apdrops eyedrop

Apdrops eyedrop contains moxifloxacin 0.5%, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic for ocular use. It targets bacteria that cause infections on the surface of the eye.

Moxifloxacin blocks DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV in bacteria. These enzymes are essential for bacterial DNA copying, so blocking them stops the infection from spreading.

Use as prescribed by your doctor. Tilt your head back, pull down the lower lid and place a drop in the pocket formed, then close the eye gently.

• Brief stinging or burning
• Eye redness
• Itchy eyes
• Watery eyes
• Temporary blurred vision

Do not wear contact lenses during infection. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye, eyelid or fingers to prevent contamination.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius, away from heat and direct light. Discard four weeks after opening the bottle.
