About
4 Quin Brom Eye Drop from Entod Pharmaceuticals is a prescription eye drop that mixes two medicines in one bottle. It pairs the antibiotic moxifloxacin with the anti-inflammatory bromfenac, and is commonly used around eye surgery to control infection and swelling together.
Uses
- Helps prevent bacterial eye infection after cataract or other eye surgery
- Reduces pain, redness and swelling after eye procedures
- Treats inflammation linked to bacterial eye problems
How it works
Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacteria from copying their DNA, so they cannot multiply. Bromfenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory that blocks the chemicals which cause swelling and pain in the eye. The two together calm the eye and protect it while it heals.
How to take
Use exactly as prescribed by your eye doctor. Wash your hands before each use, tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid and place a drop inside. Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or fingers.
Side effects
- Mild burning, stinging or itching for a few seconds after use
- Blurred vision briefly after a drop
- Watery or red eyes
- Rarely, an allergic reaction
Precautions
Do not use if you are allergic to fluoroquinolone antibiotics or NSAIDs. Remove soft contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use it only on a doctor's advice. Tell your doctor if you have any other eye problem.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly closed and use within one month of opening. Keep out of reach of children.
