AF 400 from Systopic is a prescription antifungal tablet that contains fluconazole 400 mg. It is a strong dose used for deeper or serious fungal infections, usually under close medical supervision.

• Helps in cryptococcal infections, including in the lungs and brain lining
• Used as preventive cover in people with very low immunity
• Sometimes used for stubborn skin or nail fungal infections

Fluconazole is a triazole antifungal. It blocks an enzyme that the fungus needs to build its outer cell wall. Without this wall, fungal cells leak out and die, helping the body clear the infection.

Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Do not skip doses or stop early, even if you feel better.

• Stomach pain
• Rash or itching
• Liver function changes in long use

Tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart rhythm problems. Avoid alcohol while on this medicine. Pregnant women, especially in the first three months, should not use it unless the doctor decides it is essential. Watch for unusual tiredness, yellow eyes or dark urine, and report at once.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep the strip in its pack and out of reach of children.
