About
Zifi 200 is a cefixime tablet from FDC, prescribed for a range of bacterial infections in adults and older children. It's one of the most commonly trusted oral cephalosporin antibiotics in India.
Uses
- Treats throat, sinus and ear infections
- Used for urinary tract infections
- Helps clear certain gut and chest infections
How it works
Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin. It blocks the bacteria from forming a strong outer wall, so they can't survive and the infection clears up.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow whole with water. Complete the full course even if you feel better in a few days.
Side effects
- Loose stools
- Nausea or stomach upset
- Mild skin rash in some people
Precautions
Share any past allergy to penicillin or cephalosporins with your doctor. Not effective for viral infections like colds and flu.
