About
Taxim O from Alkem contains cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic taken by mouth to treat a range of bacterial infections. Each strip holds 10 tablets.
Uses
- Throat, ear, and sinus infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Bronchitis and certain typhoid fever cases
How it works
Cefixime stops bacteria from building their cell walls, causing them to break apart and die. It is active against many common gram-negative and some gram-positive organisms.
How to take
Swallow whole with water as prescribed by your doctor. Take at evenly spaced times and complete the full course even if you feel better.

- Diarrhoea, nausea, or abdominal pain

- Headache or dizziness
- Rare allergic reactions
Precautions
