About
N Flox TZ Tablets from Labovate combine Norfloxacin, an antibiotic, with Tinidazole, an anti-protozoal and anti-anaerobic agent, for mixed gut infections with diarrhoea.
Uses
- Infectious diarrhoea
- Dysentery with blood or mucus
- Mixed bacterial and protozoal gut infections
- Amoebiasis and giardiasis (as advised)
How it works
Norfloxacin blocks DNA copying in bacteria so they cannot multiply. Tinidazole damages the DNA of parasites and anaerobic bacteria, clearing germs that simple antibiotics may miss.
How to take
Swallow whole with water as prescribed by your doctor. Take on an empty stomach for Norfloxacin to work best. Avoid alcohol during and for a couple of days after the course.
Side effects

- Headache or dizziness
Precautions
Not for children, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol completely. Tell the doctor about epilepsy, liver, kidney or heart-rhythm problems.
