Metrogyl 200 20 tab

Metrogyl 200 from JB Chemicals is a tablet form of metronidazole in a lower strength. It's a long-trusted antibiotic and antiprotozoal medicine.

• Treats certain bacterial and parasitic infections
• Often used for diarrhoea caused by amoeba or giardia, and dental or gum infections

Metronidazole enters the harmful microbe and disrupts its DNA, stopping it from multiplying. The body's defences then clear the leftover infection.

Take the tablet whole with water as prescribed by your doctor, ideally after meals. Complete the full course — stopping early can let the infection bounce back.

Avoid alcohol during treatment and for two days after. Inform your doctor about liver problems, pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Store below 25C in a dry, cool place, away from sunlight and out of reach of children.
