Metrogyl 400 from JB Chemicals is the higher-strength tablet of metronidazole, used for stronger or more stubborn infections.

Metronidazole gets inside germs that prefer low-oxygen environments and breaks down their DNA. With their genetic material damaged, the microbes can't grow or spread, and the infection clears.

Swallow whole with water as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with or after food. Finish the full course even if symptoms ease early.

• Metallic taste, nausea, loss of appetite
• Headache, dry mouth, or darker urine

Avoid alcohol during and for 48 hours after treatment to prevent severe nausea and flushing. Tell your doctor if you have liver issues, are pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Store below 25C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and children.
