Co Trimoxazole Septran DS 10 tab

Septran DS from Cadila is a double-strength antibiotic tablet combining sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim, known together as co-trimoxazole. It treats a range of bacterial infections.

• Urinary tract infections
• Certain chest and ear infections
• Traveller's diarrhoea caused by sensitive bacteria
• Prevention and treatment of specific lung infections

The two ingredients block different steps that bacteria need to make folate. Without folate, the bacteria cannot multiply and the infection clears.

Take with a full glass of water, preferably after food, as prescribed by your doctor. Finish the entire course even if you feel better, to avoid resistance.

• Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite
• Skin rash or itching
• Diarrhoea
• Sensitivity to sunlight

Drink plenty of fluids during the course. Tell your doctor if you have kidney, liver or blood disorders, sulfa allergy, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Seek urgent care for any spreading rash, blistering or breathing trouble.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place away from sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
