Claribid 500 10 tab

Claribid 500 from Abbott is a higher-strength prescription antibiotic tablet containing Clarithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. It is used for moderate to more serious bacterial infections.

• Pneumonia and chest infections
• Severe sinus or ear infections
• Skin and soft-tissue infections
• H. pylori stomach infection
• Some atypical bacterial infections

Clarithromycin blocks the bacterial machinery that makes proteins. Without these proteins, bacteria can no longer multiply, and the infection slowly clears.

Take as prescribed by your doctor with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. Do not stop early, even if you start to feel better.

• Bitter taste in the mouth
• Headache
• Mild rash

Inform your doctor about liver, kidney or heart rhythm problems and any long-term medicines, especially statins or blood thinners. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting this antibiotic.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from heat and sunlight. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
