Duphalac Syrup 250 ml

Duphalac Syrup from Abbott is a Lactulose-based oral laxative used widely for constipation in adults, children, and the elderly, and as part of liver-disease care.

Lactulose travels to the large bowel where gut bacteria ferment it into mild acids. This draws water into the stool and gently encourages bowel movement, while also helping the body clear ammonia in liver disease.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. May be taken on its own or mixed with water, juice or milk. Keep up your fluid intake through the day.

• Bloating or gas
• Stomach cramps in the first few days
• Loose stools if dose is high
• Nausea

Avoid in galactose intolerance or bowel obstruction. Use with care in diabetes. See a doctor if you notice rectal bleeding, severe pain or no relief after a week.

Store below 25°C with the cap tightly closed. Do not refrigerate. Keep out of reach of children.
