Actapro 100 mg

Actapro 100 mg is a prescription tablet from Lupin/Sun Pharma containing Acotiamide. It is used for functional dyspepsia — that uncomfortable feeling of fullness, bloating and early satiety even after a small meal, when tests show nothing structurally wrong.

Acotiamide helps your stomach muscles contract more efficiently by supporting the natural messenger acetylcholine. Food then moves out of the stomach at a healthier pace, so you feel lighter and more comfortable after eating.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Usually swallowed whole with water before meals. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Diarrhoea or loose stools
• Constipation
• Headache or dizziness
• Mild nausea

Inform your doctor about any liver disease, ongoing medicines, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol during the course of treatment. Not advised for children unless your doctor specifically recommends it.
