Looz Solution 240 ml

Looz Solution from Intas Pharmaceutical Ltd. contains lactulose, an osmotic laxative made from a non-absorbable sugar. It is widely used for chronic constipation and to help manage hepatic encephalopathy in liver disease.

• Chronic constipation in adults and children
• Softening stools after surgery or in haemorrhoids
• Hepatic encephalopathy in liver disease
• Bowel regularity during long bed rest

Lactulose draws water into the colon, softening the stool and gently stretching the bowel wall to encourage movement. In liver disease it also traps ammonia in the gut so the body absorbs less of it.

Take by mouth as prescribed by your doctor, either neat or mixed with water or juice. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day to help it work.

• Bloating and wind
• Stomach cramps
• Nausea
• Loose stools if the dose is too high

Tell your doctor if you have diabetes, galactose intolerance, or persistent abdominal pain. Effects may take a day or two, so do not double up on doses.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the cap tightly closed and out of reach of children.
