About
Azee 250 from Cipla contains azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections affecting the throat, skin, ears, lungs, and other parts of the body.
Uses
- Throat and tonsil infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Ear infections
- Chest infections like bronchitis
- Certain sexually transmitted infections
How it works
Azithromycin stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply. This helps your body's defences clear the infection.
How to take
Swallow the tablet with water, as prescribed by your doctor. Complete the full course even if you feel better, to prevent the infection from coming back.

Precautions
Tell your doctor about liver, kidney, or heart rhythm conditions. Avoid antacids containing aluminium or magnesium within two hours of the dose. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
