Ofzon 200

Ofzon 200 contains ofloxacin 200 mg, an antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone family. Doctors prescribe it for a range of bacterial infections when it is the right fit for the bug involved.

Ofloxacin kills bacteria by jamming the enzymes they need to copy their DNA, so the infection cannot keep growing.

Take as prescribed by your doctor and complete the full course, even if you feel better early. Do not self-medicate.

• Nausea, loose stools or stomach cramps
• Headache or dizziness
• Sleep disturbance in some people
• Stop and seek medical help for tendon pain or swelling, or tingling and numbness in hands or feet

Avoid strong sunlight during treatment and for two days after — the skin can become sun-sensitive. Keep a 2-hour gap from antacids. Be careful driving if you feel drowsy or dizzy. Tell your doctor about heart rhythm problems, myasthenia gravis or diabetes. Available only with a valid prescription.
