Afxime DT 200 1x10 tub

Afxime DT 200 is a dispersible tablet containing cefixime 200mg, a cephalosporin antibiotic. It dissolves in water and is used to treat a range of bacterial infections. It works only against bacteria, not colds or flu.

• Treats throat and tonsil infections
• Chest and airway infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Ear and sinus infections

Cefixime stops bacteria from building their protective outer wall. Without that wall the bacteria die and the infection clears.

Dissolve the tablet in water and take as your doctor prescribes, with or without food. Take it at the same time each day and finish the whole course, even if you feel better.

• Nausea or stomach pain
• Indigestion
• Diarrhoea; seek medical help for severe or bloody diarrhoea, rash or trouble breathing

Available only with a valid prescription. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics. Use with care if you have kidney or liver problems. Check first in pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from children.
