Tenvir Tablet (30 Tab)

Tenvir from Cipla contains Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate, a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI). It is used as part of combination therapy for HIV-1 infection and for chronic hepatitis B virus infection in adults.

• HIV-1 infection (with other antiretrovirals)
• Chronic hepatitis B in adults
• HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) as advised

Tenofovir blocks reverse transcriptase, the enzyme HIV and hepatitis B virus need to copy their genetic material. With the enzyme blocked, the viruses cannot multiply, so viral load falls and the immune system gets a chance to recover.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with food when possible. Swallow whole with water at the same time each day. Never miss doses, and never stop without medical advice.

• Kidney function changes
• Bone mineral density changes with long use

Share your full medical history, especially kidney or bone problems and any liver disease. Regular blood and kidney tests are usually needed. Tell your doctor about all other medicines, including over-the-counter and herbal items. Discuss pregnancy and breastfeeding plans.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place. Keep in the original pack, away from moisture, and out of reach of children.
