Mahacef Plus 200 from Mankind Pharma combines Cefixime, a cephalosporin antibiotic, with Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. This prescription combination targets a broader range of bacteria.

Uses

How it works

Cefixime weakens the bacterial cell wall while Ofloxacin blocks key enzymes the bacteria need to copy their DNA. Together, the two cover different families of bacteria.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor, ideally at the same times each day. Drink plenty of water and complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms ease.

Side effects

  • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea
  • Headache or dizziness
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Rash in sensitive users

Precautions

Avoid this combination if you have had reactions to cephalosporins or quinolones. Tell your doctor about tendon problems, epilepsy, kidney disease, pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
