Gudcef Plus Tablet (10 Tab)

Gudcef Plus Tablet from Mankind Pharma is a combination antibiotic tablet that contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Ofloxacin. It is prescribed for more severe or mixed bacterial infections.

• Severe throat and ear infections
• Chest and lung infections
• Sinus infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Some intestinal infections as advised

Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin that breaks down the bacterial cell wall. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone that blocks the enzymes bacteria use to copy their DNA. Together, the two antibiotics cover a wider range of bacteria, which is useful in mixed or stubborn infections.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food and a full glass of water. Avoid taking it together with milk, antacids or iron tablets at the same time. Complete the full course.

• Diarrhoea or loose stools
• Nausea or stomach pain
• Headache or dizziness
• Mild rash

Tell your doctor about any allergy to penicillin, cephalosporins or quinolones, tendon problems, epilepsy, heart rhythm issues or kidney disease. Avoid strong sun exposure, as Ofloxacin can make skin more sun-sensitive. Not generally advised in pregnancy, breastfeeding or in growing children unless clearly prescribed.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep the strip in the original pack and out of reach of children.
