Pyzina 1000

Pyzina 1000 from Lupin contains pyrazinamide, a first-line anti-tuberculosis medicine used as part of combination therapy to treat active TB infection.

Pyrazinamide is converted inside the body to its active form, which works especially well in the acidic environment inside infected cells to kill the tuberculosis bacteria.

Swallow with water, ideally at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip doses and complete the full TB course.

• Joint pain or swelling
• Nausea or loss of appetite
• Liver enzyme changes
• Skin rash or sensitivity to sunlight

Inform your doctor about any liver disease, gout, diabetes or porphyria. Regular liver function tests are usually advised. Avoid alcohol during treatment.

Store below 25 degrees C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of children's reach.
