Terbinaforce 250 7 tab

Terbinaforce from Mankind Pharma contains Terbinafine, an allylamine antifungal taken by mouth. It is used for fungal infections of the skin and nails when topical treatment alone is not enough.

• Ringworm of body, groin or feet
• Fungal nail infections
• Scalp ringworm (tinea capitis)

Terbinafine blocks squalene epoxidase, an enzyme fungi need to build their cell membranes. Without this enzyme, fungal cells die and the infection clears over the course of treatment.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day with water, with or without food. Finish the full course even if the skin starts looking better; nail courses are longer.

• Mild stomach upset
• Headache
• Skin rash
• Taste changes
• Rare liver enzyme changes

Tell your doctor about any liver or kidney disease, lupus or psoriasis. Liver tests may be advised. Disclose all current medicines, including over-the-counter and herbal ones. Discuss pregnancy or breastfeeding.
