Fosfomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that blocks an early step in bacterial cell wall building. Without a strong wall, the bacteria simply burst. It concentrates well in urine, which is why one dose is usually enough for a typical bladder infection.

Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Empty the sachet into half a glass of water, stir, and drink immediately on an empty stomach, preferably at bedtime after emptying the bladder.
