Product information
About
Cresar AMH Tablet from Cipla is a triple combination of Telmisartan, Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide. Doctors prescribe it when blood pressure is not controlled by one or two medicines together.
Uses
- Difficult-to-control high blood pressure
- Long-term blood pressure management
- Heart and kidney protection in high-risk adults
How it works
Telmisartan blocks the chemical that tightens blood vessels. Amlodipine relaxes the vessel wall. Hydrochlorothiazide, a water tablet, helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water. Together they widen the vessels and reduce the volume of fluid inside, lowering blood pressure on three fronts.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow with water. Do not stop the medicine on your own.
Side effects
- Dizziness, especially when standing up
- Swelling of ankles or feet
- Frequent urination
- Tiredness
- Muscle cramps
Precautions
Avoid in pregnancy. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver disease, gout, diabetes, dehydration or use of other blood-pressure or diuretic medicines. Have regular blood pressure, kidney and electrolyte tests done as advised.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight. Keep in the original strip until use. Keep out of reach of children.
