About
Amdepin 5 contains amlodipine, a long-acting medicine used to control high blood pressure and to ease chest pain (angina) caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. Taken regularly, it helps protect against the long-term effects of uncontrolled blood pressure.

How it works
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker. It relaxes the muscles in the walls of blood vessels so they widen, which lowers blood pressure and lets blood and oxygen reach the heart more easily, reducing angina episodes.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, once a day at about the same time. Swallow whole with water, with or without food. Do not stop suddenly even if you feel well.
Side effects

- Tiredness or palpitations
Precautions
Tell your doctor about liver problems, low blood pressure or heart failure. Rise slowly from sitting or lying to avoid dizziness. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice as they can raise drug levels in the body.
