Niftas 100 from Intas is a prescription antibiotic tablet with Nitrofurantoin. It is one of the most commonly prescribed medicines for urine infections in adults and is taken as a short, focused course.

• Treats urinary tract infections (UTI)
• Bladder infection (cystitis)
• Prevention of repeated UTIs in some patients

Nitrofurantoin gets concentrated in the urine, where it damages the DNA and key proteins of the bacteria that cause urine infections. The germs cannot multiply and are slowly cleared out of the urinary tract.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with food or a glass of milk to reduce stomach upset. Drink plenty of water during the course and complete the full duration even if you start feeling better.

Not suitable in late pregnancy, in newborns, or in people with poor kidney function. Tell your doctor about lung problems, liver disease, nerve issues, or G6PD deficiency. Stop and call the doctor if you get breathlessness, cough, or numbness in hands or feet.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from light. Keep the strip in its pack until use and out of reach of children.
