Cefakind CV 250 from Mankind combines cefuroxime, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, with clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. The pair widens the range of bacteria that can be treated.

• Throat, sinus and ear infections

• Skin and urinary tract infections

Cefuroxime stops bacteria from making a strong outer wall. Clavulanic acid blocks an enzyme that some bacteria use to inactivate antibiotics, helping cefuroxime work where it would otherwise fail.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with food. Always finish the full course even if symptoms improve quickly.
