Cefredrox O 10 tab

Cefredrox O from Leeford pairs cefadroxil, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, with ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, to broaden the range of bacteria it can treat.

• Mixed bacterial infections of skin and soft tissue
• Urinary tract infections
• Throat and respiratory tract infections
• Gut infections (when prescribed)

Cefadroxil weakens the bacterial cell wall, while ofloxacin blocks an enzyme bacteria need to copy their DNA. Used together, they tackle a wider mix of germs.

Take as prescribed by your doctor with a full glass of water. Avoid taking it with milk, antacids, iron or calcium tablets, which can reduce absorption. Complete the full course.

• Nausea or stomach upset
• Diarrhoea
• Headache or dizziness
• Sleep disturbance

Tell your doctor about any allergy to penicillin, cephalosporins or quinolones, tendon problems, seizures or kidney issues. Avoid strong sunlight and stop the medicine and call your doctor if tendon pain develops.

Store below 25 degrees C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, and keep out of reach of children.
