Claribid 250 from Abbott is a prescription antibiotic tablet containing Clarithromycin. It belongs to the macrolide group of antibiotics and is widely used for common bacterial infections.

Clarithromycin stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply. Without these proteins the bacteria cannot survive, so the infection clears up.

Take as prescribed by your doctor with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. Finish the full course even if you feel better in a few days.

Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, a heart rhythm condition, or are taking statins, blood thinners, or other long-term medicines. Avoid in pregnancy unless clearly advised by your doctor.
