Albemeth Plus 10 tabs

Albemeth Plus from Albert David contains Alpha-Beta Arteether 150 mg, an artemisinin-family antimalarial. It is used to treat malaria — especially the more serious falciparum type — usually as part of a doctor-supervised plan.

• Treatment of P. falciparum malaria
• Severe and complicated malaria (often as injection then tablet)
• Backup therapy when other antimalarials fail

Inside malaria-infected red blood cells, Arteether releases reactive oxygen molecules that damage the parasite's proteins and membranes. The parasite is killed quickly, dropping fever and parasite load.

Take as prescribed by your doctor — usually after meals with water. Antimalarials are most effective when taken at the exact times the doctor specifies; do not skip or stop early.

• Nausea, mild stomach pain
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Slow heart rate (rare, report)
• Allergic skin reaction (uncommon)

Tell your doctor about pregnancy (especially first trimester), heart rhythm issues, liver disease or other malaria/heart drugs. Get repeat blood smears as advised to confirm cure.
