L Cin OZ from Lupin is a combination tablet with Levofloxacin and Ornidazole. Doctors prescribe it for mixed infections where both bacteria and parasitic organisms may be involved.

Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacteria from copying their DNA. Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial that damages the DNA of anaerobic bacteria and parasites like Entamoeba. Together they cover a wider range of bugs.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow with a full glass of water, ideally after food to lower stomach upset. Avoid alcohol during the course and for a few days after. Complete the full course.

• Nausea, metallic taste

• Headache, dizziness
• Mild rash
• Dark-coloured urine

Tell the doctor about liver disease, nerve problems, epilepsy or heart rhythm issues. Avoid alcohol completely. Stop the medicine if you feel tendon pain or numbness in hands or feet.

Keep below 25°C in a dry place away from sunlight. Store in original strip and keep away from children.
