About

L Cin 750 from Lupin is a higher-strength Levofloxacin tablet. Doctors usually prescribe it for short-course treatment of serious bacterial infections in adults.

How it works

Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It stops bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, two enzymes bacteria need to copy and repair their DNA. Without them the bacteria cannot survive.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow whole with plenty of water at the same time each day. Keep antacids, iron and calcium-rich foods at least 2 hours away. Finish the entire course.

Side effects

  • Skin sensitivity to sunlight

Precautions

Share any history of seizures, heart rhythm trouble, tendon injury or diabetes with your doctor. Avoid driving if you feel dizzy. Stop the medicine and call the doctor if you notice tendon pain or numbness.
