Pyzina 500 from Lupin contains pyrazinamide, a first-line anti-tuberculosis medicine prescribed as part of combination therapy for active TB.

Pyrazinamide is activated inside the body to a form that works inside infected cells, where it interferes with the TB bacteria's ability to survive in acidic conditions.

Swallow with water at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor. Complete the entire course even if symptoms improve early.

• Joint pain, especially in the big toe
• Nausea or appetite loss
• Liver enzyme changes
• Skin rash or photosensitivity

Tell your doctor about any liver problems, gout or diabetes. Liver function may be monitored during therapy. Avoid alcohol while on treatment.
