Herpiford 800 from Leeford contains acyclovir, an antiviral medicine widely used to treat infections caused by the herpes family of viruses.
Uses
- Treatment of shingles (herpes zoster)
- Treatment of severe genital or oral herpes outbreaks
- Prevention of recurrent herpes infections in some patients
How it works
Acyclovir interferes with the way herpes viruses copy their genetic material, helping to slow or stop the infection from spreading.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with a full glass of water. Drink plenty of fluids while on this medicine.
