Roscillin 500 from Sun Pharma is an antibiotic capsule containing Ampicillin. It belongs to the penicillin family and is used to treat a range of bacterial infections in adults and children.

Ampicillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic that damages the cell wall of bacteria. Without a strong wall the bacteria burst open and die, helping the body clear the infection.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule with a full glass of water, ideally on an empty stomach about an hour before food. Complete the full course even if you start feeling better.

• Oral or vaginal thrush

Avoid if you are allergic to penicillin. Tell the doctor about any kidney problem, asthma, or history of antibiotic-related diarrhoea. Stop the medicine and call the doctor if you develop rash, breathing difficulty, or swelling of face.

Keep below 25°C in a dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the strip in its original pack and out of reach of children.
