Tobram Eye Oint 5 gm

Tobram Eye Ointment from Pharmtak Ophthalmics contains tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic. The ointment form sticks to the eye surface for longer contact, often used at night.

• Bacterial conjunctivitis and eyelid infections
• Other susceptible bacterial infections of the outer eye
• Night-time cover alongside daytime antibiotic drops

Tobramycin blocks bacterial protein synthesis at the ribosome, halting bacterial growth so the eye can recover from infection.

Apply a thin ribbon inside the lower eyelid as prescribed by your doctor. Wash hands first, gently pull down the lower lid and avoid touching the tube tip to the eye or lashes.

• Brief blurred vision after application
• Mild eye irritation or burning
• Watery eyes
• Lid itching or redness

Not for use with active viral or fungal eye infections unless your doctor says so. Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment. Tell your doctor about aminoglycoside allergies.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius, tightly capped and away from heat and direct sunlight. Discard one month after opening.
