Sporidex 125 mg Syrup 30 ml

Sporidex syrup from Sun Pharma contains Cephalexin, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. The strawberry-flavoured liquid is commonly used in children to treat common bacterial infections. The bottle holds 30 ml.

• Throat and tonsil infections
• Ear infections
• Skin and soft-tissue infections
• Urinary tract infections in children

Cephalexin damages the cell wall that bacteria need to survive. Without a strong wall, the bug bursts and dies, clearing the infection.

Give as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a measuring cup or spoon. Shake the bottle well before each dose. Complete the full course even if your child feels better.

• Loose motions or diarrhoea
• Nausea
• Stomach pain
• Rash (stop and call doctor)
• Mild yeast infection

Tell your doctor if your child has had any penicillin or cephalosporin allergy, kidney problems or ongoing diarrhoea. Do not skip doses. Use within 7 days once reconstituted.

Store reconstituted syrup in the refrigerator (2-8°C). Discard unused liquid after 7 days.
