Zybend Syrup 10 ml

Zybend Syrup is a Zydus liquid preparation of albendazole, a broad-spectrum antiparasitic medicine. The syrup form is convenient for children and for adults who prefer a liquid dose.

• Roundworm, hookworm, threadworm, and whipworm infections
• Pinworm (enterobiasis)
• Some tapeworm infestations
• Selected tissue parasite infections as advised by a doctor

Albendazole interferes with how parasitic worms build the internal scaffolding of their cells and how they absorb glucose. Starved of sugar, the worms lose energy, become immobile, and are then cleared out of the gut through normal bowel movements.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with food, especially a fatty meal, which helps absorption. Use the measuring cup or spoon provided and finish the prescribed course.

• Mild stomach pain or nausea
• Headache or dizziness
• Temporary rise in liver enzymes
• Rarely, hair thinning with longer courses

Tell your doctor about liver problems or if you might be pregnant. Family members may need to be treated together for pinworm to prevent re-infection.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius, away from direct sunlight. Shake well before each use and keep out of reach of children.
