About
Maxtra Oral Drops from Zuventus Healthcare contain Phenylephrine and Chlorpheniramine. They are designed for infants and small children who need relief from cold and allergy symptoms but cannot take tablets or syrup.
Uses
- Blocked nose in babies
- Runny nose and sneezing
- Cold from weather change
- Mild allergy symptoms
How it works
Phenylephrine, a decongestant, shrinks the swollen lining of the nose to ease breathing. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that calms the body's allergy response, reducing sneezing, watering and itchiness.
How to take
Give as prescribed by your doctor. Use the dropper supplied with the pack and give the drops directly or with a little water. Shake the bottle gently before use.
Side effects
- Sleepiness or unusual quietness
- Dry mouth
- Slight fussiness or irritability
- Mild rise in heart rate
Precautions
Not suitable for very young babies without doctor's advice. Inform the doctor about heart problems, fits or any other medicines the child is taking. Always measure the dose with the supplied dropper.
Storage
Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight. Keep the cap tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
