Doxy 1 LDR Forte

Doxy 1 LDR Forte from USV pairs the broad-spectrum antibiotic Doxycycline with friendly Lactobacillus spores. The probiotic is added to help protect gut flora from the imbalance that antibiotics often cause, so the course feels gentler on the stomach.

Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic that stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply. The Lactobacillus spores travel down to the intestine and re-seed the good bacteria that the antibiotic can disturb.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with a full glass of water while sitting upright. Avoid lying down right after a dose, and keep dairy, antacids or iron supplements a couple of hours apart.

• Throat irritation if not taken with enough water

Not suitable in pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or for children under eight as Doxycycline can affect developing teeth and bones. Tell your doctor about liver issues or any other medicines you take. Use sun protection during the course.
