Amaryl MV 1 mg is a fixed-dose combination of three anti-diabetic medicines used to help adults with type 2 diabetes keep their blood sugar in a healthy range. It is meant to be taken alongside a balanced diet and regular activity, as prescribed by your doctor.

Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin, metformin reduces the amount of sugar produced by the liver and improves how your body uses insulin, and voglibose slows the breakdown of carbohydrates in the gut so sugar enters the blood more gradually after meals.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with the first bite of a meal so the voglibose can act on the food you eat. Swallow whole with water and try to keep mealtimes consistent.

Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems, heart conditions, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Always carry a quick sugar source in case of a low, and avoid skipping meals while on this medicine. Limit alcohol, which can worsen low sugar.
