About
Ajapride M2 Forte from Ajanta is a stronger version of the Glimepiride-Metformin combination, with a higher dose of Metformin. It is used in type 2 diabetes when sugar levels need tighter control.
Uses

- When lower-strength tablets are not enough
How it works
Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin. Metformin reduces sugar made by the liver and helps the body's cells use insulin more efficiently. Together they lower sugar from two directions.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with the first main meal of the day. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Eat your meal right after the dose.
Side effects
- Low blood sugar (sweating, shaking, hunger)
- Nausea or loose motions
- Metallic taste
- Stomach pain
- Weight gain
Precautions
Inform the doctor about kidney, liver or heart issues, pregnancy or G6PD deficiency. Avoid alcohol. Mention this medicine before any X-ray with dye or surgery. Carry sugar or glucose biscuits.
