Rcin 150

Rcin from Lupin contains Rifampicin, a key antibiotic in the rifamycin family. It is widely used to treat tuberculosis and certain other bacterial infections, almost always as part of a combination regimen.

Rifampicin blocks a bacterial enzyme needed to copy genetic material, stopping the bacteria from multiplying and helping the body clear the infection.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Usually swallowed whole with water on an empty stomach, at least an hour before food.

• Orange-red colour in urine, sweat, and tears (harmless)
• Nausea or stomach upset
• Skin rash or itching
• Changes in liver function tests

Mention any liver disease, alcohol use, or other medicines you take, as Rifampicin interacts with many drugs including hormonal contraceptives. Complete the full course even if you feel better.
