Mebex

Mebex contains mebendazole 100 mg, an anti-worm medicine from Cipla. It is used to treat common worm infections of the gut in children and adults.

• Threadworm (pinworm) infection
• Roundworm infection
• Whipworm infection
• Hookworm infection

Mebendazole stops worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), which they need to survive. The worms lose energy, die over a few days and pass out naturally in the stool.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. The tablet can be chewed, swallowed or crushed and mixed with food, and may be taken with or without meals.

• Mild stomach pain
• Loose stools or diarrhoea
• Nausea
• Headache

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Wash hands and bed linen well, as worms can spread easily within a household.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from light. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
