About
Brimolol Eye Drop from Sun Pharma combines timolol and brimonidine. It is used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in conditions such as glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
Uses
- Open-angle glaucoma
- Ocular hypertension
- Reducing intraocular pressure
- Long-term eye pressure control
How it works
Timolol, a beta-blocker, reduces the fluid the eye makes, while brimonidine, an alpha-2 agonist, both lowers fluid production and helps it drain better. Together they reduce eye pressure.
How to take
Instil drops in the affected eye as prescribed by your doctor. Wash hands first, tilt your head back, and press gently on the inner corner of the eye for a minute after use.
Side effects
- Mild burning or stinging
- Red or watery eyes
- Blurred vision briefly
- Dry mouth or tiredness
Precautions
Tell your doctor about asthma, heart problems or low blood pressure. Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before putting them back in.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius, away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed and discard a month after first opening.
