Rifastop 400 from Mankind is a Rifaximin tablet prescribed for gut bacterial infections. It is a gut-specific antibiotic, which means it works mostly inside the intestine.

• Traveller's diarrhoea
• IBS with diarrhoea
• Bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine
• Prevention of repeat hepatic encephalopathy episodes

Rifaximin sticks to the bacterial enzyme RNA polymerase and stops harmful bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow. As it stays largely inside the gut, it tackles the infection where it begins.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow with water, with or without food, and try to keep the same timing each day. Finish the prescribed course.

• Stomach cramps
• Nausea
• Headache
• Tiredness

Inform the doctor about severe liver disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Stop and call the doctor if severe diarrhoea, fever or skin rash develops.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight. Keep in the strip and out of reach of children.
