Meftal Forte 10 tabs

Meftal Forte from Blue Cross pairs mefenamic acid with paracetamol in one tablet. The combination is aimed at moderate pain and fever where each medicine alone may not be enough.

• Moderate pain such as headache, toothache or backache
• Period cramps
• Joint and muscle pain
• Fever with body ache

Mefenamic acid reduces inflammatory chemicals called prostaglandins, easing pain and swelling. Paracetamol acts mainly in the brain to lower the body temperature and dull pain signals. Together they offer broader relief than either alone.

Take the tablet with food and water as prescribed by your doctor. Do not combine with other paracetamol-containing medicines to avoid exceeding the safe daily limit.

Avoid if you have severe liver disease, active ulcers, severe kidney problems or have reacted badly to NSAIDs. Use cautiously in asthma, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and keep the course as short as possible.
