D Cold Total from Reckitt is a popular cold and flu tablet that combines Paracetamol, Phenylephrine and Caffeine. It is widely used to ease the typical mix of fever, headache, blocked nose and tiredness that comes with a common cold.

Paracetamol relieves fever and pain by acting on the brain's temperature and pain centres. Phenylephrine narrows the swollen blood vessels lining the nose, easing congestion. Caffeine adds a mild lift, helping counter the tiredness that often comes with a cold.

Take this tablet as advised on the pack or by your pharmacist or doctor, with a glass of water after a light meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose, as paracetamol overdose can harm the liver. Avoid combining with other paracetamol-containing medicines.

Avoid in severe liver disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart disease or hyperthyroidism. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about pregnancy, breastfeeding or other cold and pain medicines you take. Do not use for more than a few days without medical advice.
