About

Leforex Tablet from UHL contains Rifaximin, an antibiotic prescribed by doctors that mainly works inside the gut. It is used for certain gut infections and related conditions.

Uses

  • Traveller's diarrhoea
  • Certain gut infections
  • Hepatic encephalopathy (a liver-related brain condition)
  • Irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea when advised

How it works

Rifaximin stays mostly inside the gut and stops the growth of harmful bacteria there. By reducing these bacteria, it helps control diarrhoea and lowers the production of substances that can affect the brain in liver disease.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor. The tablet is usually swallowed whole with water, with or without food. Complete the full course even if you start feeling better.

Precautions
