About
Lotepred from Sun Pharma contains loteprednol etabonate, a corticosteroid eye drop. It is used for short-term treatment of eye inflammation under an eye specialist's care. Prescription only.

- Inflammation after eye surgery

- Other steroid-responsive eye conditions
How it works
Loteprednol is a corticosteroid that calms the immune response in the eye, helping reduce redness, swelling, itching and discomfort.
How to take
Use as prescribed by your doctor. Shake well before use, tilt the head back and place the drops in the affected eye, then close gently for a minute. Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye.
Side effects
- Mild burning or stinging
- Blurred vision briefly after use
- Rise in eye pressure with long use
Precautions
Not for use in viral, fungal or untreated bacterial eye infections unless advised. Tell your doctor about glaucoma, diabetes or contact lens use. Long use needs eye-pressure checks.
Storage
Store upright below 25C, away from direct sunlight. Discard one month after opening. Keep out of reach of children.
