About
Simbrinza Eyedrop from JB Chemical combines brinzolamide and brimonidine to lower pressure inside the eye. It is used in glaucoma and ocular hypertension when a single medicine is not enough.
Uses
- Open-angle glaucoma
- Raised pressure inside the eye
- Combination therapy when one drop is not enough
How it works
Brinzolamide reduces the amount of fluid the eye makes by blocking a specific enzyme, while brimonidine both lowers fluid production and helps it drain better, so eye pressure falls.
How to take
Use as prescribed by your doctor. Tilt the head back, place a drop in the eye, then close the eye gently for a minute. Do not touch the dropper to the eye.
Side effects
- Blurred vision shortly after use
- Eye irritation or redness
- Dry mouth
- Bitter or unusual taste
Precautions
Tell your doctor about heart, blood pressure, kidney or breathing problems. Wait at least 10 minutes before using other eye drops or putting in contact lenses.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius, away from direct light. Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening or as advised.
